Dr. Brooke Taylor
Founder and CEO
Dr. Brooke Taylor is Founder and CEO of Defending Our Country (DOC), LLC. Brooke provides clients with strategic solutions and high-level national security and foreign policy expertise from an extensive combined career in private industry, academia, and service to both the legislative and executive branches of government.
Brooke worked on U.S. Capitol Hill as a George Washington University Nuclear Security Fellow, where she led multi-billion dollar appropriations portfolios to include Defense, Energy and Water, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs; managed the U.S. Congressional Nuclear Security Working Group; and served as Military Liaison Assistant to United States Strategic Command. Brooke is a former United States Congressional Candidate in Virginia’s 10th district.
Brooke is an experienced Vice President and defense sub-contractor working as principal investigator, project manager, and wargame creator developing Air Force Global Strike Command’s elite program, the National Nuclear Strategy and Global Security Workshop for Practitioners. She is a distinguished faculty for Missouri State University’s School of Defense and Strategic Studies program. Brooke internationally presents and publishes on such topics as appearing in The Washington Times, The Hill, Inside Sources, Wild Blue Yonder, U.S. Marine Corps Press Forging Wargamers, and the United States Air Force Academy Space and Defense Journal among others.
The first-hand experience of working in the private sector, higher education, in service to two branches of the federal government, and as a politician while campaigning challenged Brooke to create DOC and the platform of “peace through strategy” in representing and supporting high-level, specialized projects that advance national security solutions in a complex and challenging geopolitical era.
Brooke serves on the Board of Directors for Meadowkirk at Delta Farm, Evergreen Christian School, and the Middleburg Community Center, and on the Board of Regents for the Strategic Deterrence Coalition. She earned her Doctorate of Strategic Leadership and Master of Arts in Government degrees from Regent University and lives in northern Virginia with her son.
